Opening the 10/3 exchange, the same world oil prices dropped nearly 7%. Brent raw oil is currently 92,4 dollars, while American crude oil WTI goes down to 88,3 dollars. In the 9/3 session, the price of both of these oils was a time of close proximity to $1200,000 a barrel—for the first time since early 2022.

The market came down after US President Donald Trump said in a press conference in Florida on March 9 that the US and Israel reached goals and the war with Iran would soon be over. On*CBS News, he also claimed the Hormuz Channel was reopened and the ship was passing through here. The President of the United States is even "thinking about taking over" this Channel.

Iran last week announced closure of the Hormuz Channel, where about 20% of the world's oil was passing, and attacking about 10 cargo ships passing here. Military operations forced the carriers to almost abandon this route, causing world oil prices to go up.

Earlier, *Reuters also quoted close sources stating that Trump was considering loosening his punishment with Russian oil to reduce the price of oil.
